In first class, the $500 million aircraft (about $1-million per passenger) features 14 private suites with seats that convert to beds, two shower spas with full-length mirror and vanity units, two stand-up bars and a lounge area. There are more than 1,100 channels of in-flight entertainment. Emirates has ordered 58 such planes from Airbus in Germany, so hopefully the business travelers will continue to dole out the big bucks for luxury air travel.
This flight signified the first regular scheduled service of the A380 aircraft into Canada and Toronto Pearson is thrilled to be its first destination. Emirates will offer this Toronto - Dubai service three times per week - on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The forward thinking that went into the airport redevelopment now is paying off for passengers in the GTA in the form of additional flight capacity on Emirates' busy Toronto-Dubai route.
